The Return of the Playstation Store

Hello everyone! If you’re a Playstation fanatic like meyou must be eagerly awiting the return of the Playstation store. Since the return of the Playstation network the store has not been online and is supposedly still undergoing maintenance. I read this morning that the expected return date of the Playstation store is today (5/24/11) so check on it frequently and download “escalation”. I also wanted to remind you to download your free games from Sony. As part of their welcome back campaign Sony offered free games. I haven’t been able to find confirmed information about which or what games will be available but my research has led me to believe that the following games will be among those given:

For PS3 users, two games from the following:

  • LittleBigPlanet
  • inFamous
  • Wipeout HD/Fury
  • Super Stardust HD
  • Dead Nation

For PSP users, two games from the following (PSP and PS3 users will get both platforms’ freebies):

  • LittleBigPlanet PSP
  • ModNation Racers PSP
  • Pursuit Force
  • Killzone Liberation

Additionally, PSN users will receive:

  • A selection of “On Us” rental movie titles will be available to PlayStation Network customers over one weekend, where Video Service is available. Those titles will be announced soon.
  • 30 days free PlayStation Plus membership for non-PS Plus subscribers
  • Existing PlayStation Plus subscribers will be given 60 days free subscription.
  • Existing Music Unlimited subscribers will be given 30 days free subscription + time lost. Sony said that all PSN members would be given 30 days subscription.]
  • PlayStation Home will be offering 100 free virtual items. Additional free content will be released soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.

Users must have been an account holder on 20 April 2011, and you will have 30 days from when the welcome back program goes live to redeem the content.
