Traxxas Slash

The HPI BLITZ The TRAXXAS SLASH

This past Saturday I finally purchased my radio control (RC) truck. There are many to chose from and a variety of styles, brands and options. I have always been a fan of RC's but never got the one that I really wanted. Back in the day I used to have an old school RC with a wire attached to it, you couldn't go to far and always had to follow it around.
Before committing I did research and narrowed it down to two different trucks the HPI Blitz and Traxxas Slash. Both great trucks and very affordable for what you get. Mind you, I needed to find a truck that pretty much had it all. I wanted everything for as little as possible. Although the Blitz would have been the cheaper option to go with initially, I calculated what it would cost to buy a battery pack, charger and a controller, so that so little kid would accidentally control my truck, I would have spent close to $325.00. I also forgot to mention that I would have to buy a few MODS to make the truck just as quick as the Slash, which would place my running total to about $600 and thats just the basic MODS. Please dont get me worng the Blitz is an affordable truck for those who want to start out slow, but I didnt want to mess with the technical stuff.
The reason I decided to go with the Traxxas Slash is simply for the reason that I got everything I wanted. The Slash comes fully assembled with stickers, the battery pack, basic charger and a 2.4 GHz radio controller, which I must say is an added bonus, most 2.4 GHz radio controllers bought separately usually run anywhere between $100 and up.
I love the truck and I cant wait to get it to the track this weekend!
Special thanks to TRAXXAS for creating the SLASH!
