The Queen Mary

The Queen Mary was a former ocean liner in the early 1930’s. Later the Queen Mary was commissioned to become a troop transport during World War II. When she was relieved of its duties in the late 1960’s the Queen Mary was retired and permanently anchored in Long Beach California. Today the Queen Mary serves not only as a 5 star full service hotel but as a museum ship.
My wife daughter and I had the honor of spending a weekend on the beautiful historical ship. I have to tell you that it was really a great experience. I definitely would recommend that everyone experience it at least once. I also highly recommend that while you are aboard the ship you take advantage of the self guided tour that takes you through the ship. Also don’t forget the ship has had its share of paranormal activity. There are marquees all over the ship that show many areas where sounds were heard, apparitions were seen and tragic accidents happened. Again, it was a great experience and the crew members employed at the hotel are the best I have ever come across. If you ever get the opportunity to stay aboard the Queen Mary do it!
